Edison VS Tesla

             You all probably know Thomas Edison the inventor of the light bulb right, big break through in technology this guy but what some of you might not know is that he had a competitor Nikola Tesla who I think could have had us in the 21st century 30 years ago. both inventors had different ideas about electricity and how to harness it and both were able to give power to millions. Nikola though was able to do this very cost efficiently so cheap that people could practically have free power. and for a while we did run off of his invention the Tesla coil but sadly his laboratory was strangely burned down and he was not able to continue his research and Thomas Edison stepped in. Now we are figuring out that his inventions that he was working on would have got us the technology of today during the early 1900s but sadly after the fire nobody would help fund his research and his inventions were soon left to collect dust if only we had realized what he was onto imagine what we could be achieving today.

technological history

In the past we had focused all our knowledge into moving forward in the world  always trying to be more advance then the competing country's. when the 1900's rolled around people where all about inventing things, things that have never even been thought of before. in 1910 the toaster was made as well as the oven and the washing machine. Shortly after world war 1 started in the year 1914. Even though war is shunned upon it has great potential for inventing stuff.  Because all our money and resource are going into winning it  having more advance technology then the enemy can really help turn the tides in our favor. For instance during the war hydrophones where invented which was pretty much sonar just the poor mans version until later perfected. With breakthroughs like this it has allowed us to get to where we are today. Lately though it seems we have lost focus on what is important and and are spending to much time finding a way to make Facebook better.  

What direction is technology leading us in

In the past 100 years we have made some amazing breakthroughs in technology and in the past 15 years we have sky rocketed with new gadgets and products. But lately a lot of time and energy has been going into the advancements of entertainment which isn't bad but I feel that we should be putting a lot more effort into researching and advancing things that will help us keep moving forward as a race. I created this blog to give the readers some ideas about what we are doing to technologically advance our race. I summed it up in about five sections.
